Email Operations Manager - ClassPass (Temporary)

About the role

We’re looking to add a contractor to our Lifecycle Marketing team with strong email execution, email coding and QA skills. This role will be primarily centered around marketing campaign execution through our ESP provider Braze.

After getting onboarded, the role will also focus on providing additional templates for the team to utilize to send emails efficiently. In addition, training the rest of the team on email will be part of the scope. On a day to day level, the role will help with regular QA email support and email execution across the marketing team multiple times a week. 

In order to best support our team, the person in this role should be interested in the business side of ClassPass and also demonstrate analytical skills. This includes understanding the context around the business and marketing campaigns in order to suggest improvements, as well as understanding basic user data that we incorporate dynamically into our campaigns. 

Qualifications & requirements 

  • Experience with ESP provider 

  • Email html and css experience and proficiency 

  • Experience with segmentation, dynamic content, and working with user attributes

  • Experience with A/B testing

  • Familiarity with API triggers and JSON payloads

  • Experience working with a creative team and managing images and copy

  • Experience with translations and scaling translations

  • Strong QA skills and execution processes

Nice to have 

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with Braze

  • Familiarity with Postman 

  • Experience with SurveyGizmo

  • Experience with Amazon S3 and Airflow 

  • Experience with push notifications and in-app modals 

  • Experience with Asana or other project management tools

  • Familiarity with subscription businesses

  • Experience with B2C comms
