About the role
At ClassPass we believe partnering with companies who share our values can help thousands of more people live active lives. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, highly-motivated individual to help grow our burgeoning corporate wellness department by managing and mentoring an account management team . They set the bar for the team by bringing strong account management experience to the role, and aren’t afraid of facing a challenge head on. They think outside the box, by iterating on a QBR deck, providing live feedback to their team or influencing corporate partners to increase program engagement. They are a natural leader and work closely with their team to hit targets each month and contribute to the growth of ClassPass.
Principal duties and responsibilities
• Successfully act as a coach and mentor for a team of account associates and account managers to help the team hit quarterly targets. • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, including communicating goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks. • Works with team members on their professional development and provides timely feedback to team members when needed. • Conducts team meetings and weekly 1:1’s to update team members on current programs and projects. • Communicate successes and roadblocks to the Sr Manager of Corporate Account Management to ensure the team is on track to hit quarterly goals. • Develop creative, fun, and innovative ways in which you connect and build out your relationships with potential partners and share across the team. • Support day to day client needs including timely email responses, proactive relationship building, creative engagement programing, and escalation of client issues and bugs • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure successful corporate programs. • Maintain strong industry knowledge of the benefits and corporate wellness space, and craft ClassPass value proposition and positioning.
Qualifications and requirements
• Experience coaching or mentoring either in a team environment or one on one • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple company initiatives and support a team to do the same • Resilience and an ability to overcome objections and obstacles with an openness to feedback, and dedication to consistent self-improvement • Demonstrated account management experience with a track record of relentlessly high standards and top performance • Comfortable and confident interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior-level management (internal and external) • Highly organized individual with the ability to prioritize and attention to detail • A team player and comfortable with an ever-changing startup environment • 4-5 years of revenue based account management experience, plus 1-2 years of direct management experience • Experience analyzing company needs, employee development and goal setting • Expert at navigating networks and building professional relationships. • Technical experience in computer programs such as CRM systems, Project management tools, Microsoft suite, etc • Excellent written and oral communication skills
