About the right team member
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, highly motivated individual to help grow our strategic accounts segment. The right candidate is confident in their ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, isn’t afraid of striking up a conversation with someone they just met and has demonstrated strong sales and negotiation skills. The primary focus of the Strategic Account Executive will be to secure net new business for Mindbody across the APAC region while working cross functionally with internal teams to strike a deal that is a win-win for both the customer and the business. The Strategic AE will work closely with the Technical Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers to ensure all new customers are set up for long-term success.
About the role
- Work directly with identified strategic accounts (10+ locations) to understand their business needs and clearly communicate how Mindbody can meet those needs
- Own the sales cycle from prospecting to close (with the understanding that some deals may take years to come to fruition), securing multi-year software contracts and product add-ons
- Work closely with the Implementation & Account Management teams to determine the best strategy to set up new customers for a fruitful long-term relationship
- Work with internal teams such as Revenue Operations on deal structure and Pricing & Inventory to ensure we have a strong point of view when engaging in negotiations
- Understand the competitive landscape and what differentiated benefits and value Mindbody can provide customers
- Display a genuine interest and expert knowledge in the wellness industry inclusive of fitness, spa/salon, and integrative health verticals
- Cultivate a playbook for outreach, pipeline management, product demos, and farming, so we can iterate on the sales process and continue to grow the team as needed
- Communicate successes and roadblocks to the regional sales leaders to ensure you are on track to hit monthly goals
- Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs, and act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Skills & experience
- 3-5 years of selling SaaS into strategic or enterprise accounts
- Ability to interface with senior leaders, with exceptional negotiation and relationship skills
- Ability to balance the needs of both internal and external stakeholders
- Resilience and an ability to overcome objections and obstacles with an openness to feedback, and dedication to consistent self-improvement
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented self-starter
- Technical experience in computer programs such as CRM systems, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Highly organized individual with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, and strong attention to detail
