About the right team member

Mindbody is looking for a highly motivated Sr. FP&A Analyst to be a cross-functional leader for our payments business. In this role you’ll support the creation and delivery of our annual operating plan, monitor performance and surface key insights and recommendations to leadership.  You’ll also be responsible for completing ad hoc analyses and supporting the development of strategic business cases in partnership with stakeholders across the company, and for monitoring the health of critical business metrics, functions, and processes. This opportunity is an excellent fit for a candidate seeking a role in finance that provides broad operational and strategic exposure to a rapidly scaling, growth stage business. The role is predominantly focused on the Mindbody business, though sits on our FP&A team whose responsibilities span both Mindbody and ClassPass

About the role

• Work across multiple functions and stakeholders as the primary financial business partner, surfacing meaningful insights and advising on decisions to produce optimal financial outcomes 
• Key driver of modeling Mindbody’s long-term financial targets and each year’s annual budget 
• Constantly monitor key performance metrics, identify the root causes of over or underperformance, and create actionable recommendations to further drive business performance 
• Drive ad hoc financial analysis and scenario models in order to create business cases for various initiatives  
• Act as a cross-team mentor, and become recognized as the subject matter expert “go to” resource across the organization 
• All other duties as assigned 

Skills & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience 
• 5+ years’ experience in strategic finance, preferably in a SaaS or tech company; role is also a fit for candidates out of an analyst program at a management consultancy of investment bank  
• Strong proficiency in large data analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development 
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects cross-functionally, build strong professional relationships, and influence key stakeholders 
• Highly skilled at solving new challenging problems and proven capability to create and implement substantially better solutions than currently exist 
• Self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic environment 
• Excellent visual design skills, strong attention to detail and quality, highly organized
