Your role

As a Security Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role within our organization's cyber security framework, specializing in security event analysis, detection, and response. Working collaboratively with our team, you will contribute to the proactive safeguarding of our systems and data integrity, ensuring our organization remains resilient against evolving threats. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about cyber security and eager to grow their career in this field.

You'll likely spend time working on

  • Assist in the administration of enterprise security environment including Identity Access Management (IAM), SaaS, email, and endpoint security management
  • Support implementation and management of Secure Service Edge (SSE) solutions across all endpoints including monitoring and enforcement of secure policies for web traffic and remote access
  • Support the integration, management, and monitoring of SaaS security solutions, securing access and enforcing security policies for SaaS applications
  • Support user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control activities across various platforms and applications, including SSO administration and troubleshooting
  • Encourage a culture of security within the organization by advocating for security best practices during team member support sessions
  • Support the monitoring and enforcement of security policies and procedures
  • Manage ticket triage - categorizing, prioritizing, and managing incoming tickets based on their urgency and complexity
  • Assist in the gathering of evidence for compliance audits

About the right team member

You are a developing cyber security professional who is passionate about executing impactful and high-quality security initiatives. You know the best security is created through collaboration and iteration, and you are looking for the right opportunity and the right team to expand your experience.

You'll thrive in this role with experience in

  • Understanding of IT security concepts, principles, and security best practices
  • 1-2 years information security and/or technology experience, 1+ years in a similar cyber security engineer role
  • Interest or experienced working with IAM tooling, SaaS security, email, or endpoint security solutions
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential
  • Demonstrates a strong customer service-oriented approach when supporting both internal and external customers
  • Enthusiastic and capable of working collaboratively with a team of skilled engineers and key stakeholders to advance cyber security initiatives
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cyber security Analyst (CySA+) are advantageous
  • Knowledge of NIST and/or MITRE security frameworks
