About the right team member

The Partner Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting revenue goals driven by the success of partner products. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to build out new partner sales channels. You will work with partners to establish a strategic account planning process and agree upon performance objectives. You will coordinate internal resources to meet and exceed performance objectives and customer expectations. 

About the role

  • Responsible for successfully rolling out partner products into our sales channel
  • Balance partner needs with internal cross-functional stakeholder needs by collaborating across groups
  • Facilitate and run trainings on partner products for our sales team
  • Act as the partner account manager to build rapport, set goals, and manage the business relationship with senior executives and contacts across the partner portfolio
  • Act as a resource to enable sales reps and managers to hit their goals
  • Gain insight into customer needs via direct relationships and via sales reps to prioritize which partners to bring to market via sales channel
  • Implement new processes, tools, and approaches to streamline and expand the scale and scope of the program
  • Evaluate the current portfolio of partners and put together go-to-market plans and sales enablement materials 
  • Support the partner experience by answering and fielding partner inquiries, compiling areas of improvement, and helping troubleshoot internally when issues arise. Make recommendations and collaborate with internal teams to drive business systems and process/policy enhancements
  • Answer internal questions about partners and create resources to educate and support other teams 
  • Manage the ongoing needs of the strategic partners, including marketing refreshes, product updates, and other cross-functional knowledge shares
  • Put together regular reporting for partner attach, performance, and process for stakeholder updates 
  • Prepare and present reports, analyses, and other documents that provide insight into business performance

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required 
  • Exhibits a “sense of urgency” that facilitates the execution of program requirements across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong aptitude for emotional intelligence
  • Well-organized self-starter 
  • Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced, numbers-driven environment 
  • Must be able to adapt to evolving department/roles, able to take on new challenges as they become delegated to the position 
  • Comfortable with Excel and other tools to support analysis
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills; including experience and competence in leading, influencing, and coaching others in the absence of direct reporting relationships
  • Experience in a software/technology environment 
  • Proven ability to lead and execute projects that involve alignment and collaboration across disciplines and craft
  • Ability to evaluate incentives and provide input on aligning with company objectives
