About the right team member
As an SMB Sales Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind our outbound sales efforts. You'll work in our inside sales team, targeting the right market while hitting your revenue goals. Your day-to-day will involve reaching out to potential clients through calls, emails, texts, and social media. By offering our solutions, you'll help clients in the health, wellness, and beauty space achieve their fullest potential with our Mindbody products. You are someone who is a go-getter, and is not afraid to pick up the phone and strike a conversation with potential customers.
About the role
- Drive sales volume via high-volume outbound cold calls, lead generation, and closing sales with our single location customers
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring a seamless transition through each stage
- Initiate sales activity via phone, text and email, including but not limited to, introduction (cold calls), follow-ups, and demonstration calls, introduction emails, follow-up emails, pre-and post demonstration reminder and follow-up emails
- Demonstrate Mindbody software, products, and partner solutions to potential clients and assisting them in selecting the best solution(s) for their needs while working within a specific niche
- Consult with prospective clients by addressing their questions and needs to identify the proper Mindbody solution
- Establish business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions within Salesforce
- Effectively manage pipeline as well as forecasting business on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by closing deals at a high rate, contributing significantly to company revenue
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective clients upon request and with manager approval
- Identify advantages and key differentiators as compared to competitors within our various markets
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy; strategically plan a daily/weekly/monthly schedule to maximize return on KPIs
- Keep abreast of all product updates, including software and application updates and releases, new partner offerings, market conditions, and competitor activities, i.e. updates to competitor software or new competitors in our core verticals
- Participate in trade shows and conventions as required
- All other duties as assigned
Skills & experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of sales experience, in a closing role at a SaaS company with a stellar record of performance
- Cold calling or strong phone experience- needs to have the willingness to pick up the phone to contact prospects
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, able to handle and overcome objections
- Technical aptitude – strong understanding of API’s, SaaS, cloud computing etc.
- Proficient level at Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher)
- Exposure to the health & wellness industry either as an enthusiast or teacher
- Knowledge of web technologies, or web/tech savvy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good group presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams
- Strong attention to detail, extremely organized
- Able to multitask in a quick paced environment
- Ability to consistently maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time and function in a high stress environment, under substantial time pressure

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
The base salary range for this position in the United States starts at $60,000. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits and/or other applicable incentive (commission) compensation plans.
