About the right team member

​​The Partnerships team is a high-achieving group of individual contributors and managers who collectively work to acquire, optimize, upsell and retain the ClassPass Partner network. We employe a market-based approach to our work. Our primary focus is growing and maintaining the strong supply network that yields optimized return on investment in terms of ClassPass subscriber acquisition, retention and life-time value. ​ 

This role prioritizes Field Sales, spending the majority of their workdays visiting local prospects as well as traveling a minimum of 50% of their time to prospects within their region. 

The Field Account Manager optimizes, upsells and retains the most valuable partners within their region. They will own accounts in their home market as well as others within their broader region. They will prioritize Field Sales in all their outreach and are expected to travel to other markets outside of their home city at least 50% of their time. Further, this person is embedded in the local fitness and wellness community of their region and they’re the first to know about the newest businesses opening, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing our top partners. They prioritize fostering in-person connections through field visits, networking and other methods.  This is a proactive Account Management role that requires  out bounding to your book of business focusing on upselling partners to achieve the triple-bottom line of doing right by our partners, our subscribers and our company. 

About the role

  • Establish a professional relationship with top ClassPass partners to develop a core understanding of their unique business needs allowing you the ability to upsell and retain 
  • Engage, upsell and retain the most valuable partners in your book of business primarily through field sales visits, including travel at least 50% of your time to other markets within your region 
  • Conduct regular outbound outreach to the top accounts within your book of business to foster relationships, identify pain points and sell solutions 
  • Engage in outbound outreach to upsell remaining accounts within your book of business on optimizations and/or upsell products 
  • Leverage Field Sales tactics (e.g. travel, in-person drop-ins and meetings) along with the necessary level of inside sales touchpoints (e.g. social, phone, email) to drive engagement 
  • Strong focus on performance and ability to achieve monthly quota targets related to upsell 
  • All other duties as identified 

Skills & experience

  • 2+ years of full-cycle presale and/or postsale sales experience, with a mastery of both Field and Inside sales tactics 
  • Strong sales track record of consistent over-performance on monthly/quarterly quotas and OKRs 
  • Strong B2B negotiation skills 
  • Familiarity with and professional connections with the local fitness and wellness industry in your region 
  • Ability to identify and attend networking opportunities to build strong connections within your regional fitness and wellness community 
  • Effectively delegate reactive, transactional casework to Partner Support teams while ensuring high-level of partner satisfaction 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Salesloft and Microsoft Suite 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work with self-direction 
  • Resides in San Francisco and willingness to travel to other markets within your larger region 
  • Owns a car with valid driver’s license or can rely on public transit to visit with partners in the San Francisco market (a minimum of 10-15 per day) 
  • This role is remote and should be in a location free from distraction 
  • This role requires up to 50% travel within the field
