Mindbody Honored with Stop on Nationwide Employee Wellness Tour
SLO, CA – Mar 16, 2012 – As part of a nationwide event celebrating employee wellness, Subaru’s “Work Play Love” Tour will stop today at Mindbody, a leading provider of online business management software to businesses in the health and wellness industries.
The tour recognizes companies that value and promote a healthy work-life balance for their employees. From March – May 2012, Subaru’s Work Play Love Tour will visit fifty select businesses across the country including Zappos, Volcom, Clif, Amy’s, REI, Trek, LIVESTRONG, and Hotels.com.
Today, the “Work Play Love” Tour will set up a private, outdoor event at Mindbody’s headquarters in San Luis Obispo, CA, to encourage employees to step outside and play – providing them with what Subaru is calling “fresh air therapy.” Planned activities include:
- Workday Warrior Photo Booth (employees create themed, outdoor photos using backdrops/props)
- DIY Trail Mix Station
- Outdoor Games and Activities
Mindbody will add to the fun with:
- Outdoor Wellness Classes (highlighting the company’s weekly, on-site fitness classes)
- Tattoo Booth (with unique Mindbody temporary tattoos)
- Corporate Culture Booth (highlighting key employee benefits and employee wellness program)
Mindbody has embraced a work-life balance since its founding in 2001 with a set of core values that inform every aspect of the company’s corporate culture, and which earned the company a spot on Outside Magazine’s list of the Top 50 Places to Work in 2010.
“At Mindbody, we are committed to wellness – in mind, body and spirit,” said Rick Stollmeyer, Co-Founder and CEO. “Just as our clients promote health and wellness to their customers, we do the same with our employees. Only by taking care of ourselves can we take the best care of our clients.”
